2009 COACHING STAFF

2009 is Coach Rob Mueller’s third season with the Saints, coming off two straight CSRA Private Middle School League championships in his first two seasons (2007 and 2008). Under Coach Mueller the past two seasons, the Saints have posted a 20-3 overall record. As a player, Mueller played at Baldwin Senior High School in Long Island, N.Y., and went on to play one season for Queensborough Community College in New York City. He also played during his college years for the Long Island Mets and Baldwin Reds, and later was a player-manager for the North Atlanta Orioles, one of the charter teams in the Metro Atlanta Men’s Adult Baseball League in the early 1990s. Mueller has lived in Augusta since 1995 and has coached baseball the past seven years for the West Augusta Recreation Department at various levels. A 1991 graduate of Hofstra University in New York with a B.A. in Journalism, Mueller is a former sportswriter with The Augusta Chronicle, covering professional baseball for more than 10 years, and is the former General Manager of the Augusta Lynx professional hockey team. He currently works with Catholic Stewardship Consultants, and lives in Augusta with his wife of 17 years, Marybeth, and their three children — Shelby (Aquinas Class of 2012), Jake (SMS Class of 2011) and Kevin (SMS Class of 2015).
